The birds take nest inside the trees The blinds come down at home Comfort falls upon our lives while some folks sit alone A changing mood when darkness dwells A sigh across the land He send His Angels, keeps us warm The closing day's at hand Some take time to watch and pray Other's making bread And for the sick relief does come from prayers upon their bed Another day of worldly pains Passes before our eyes And finally we stop our work With all our cares and sighs Sitting close with those we love Sharing keeps us close The plates are shared and food is passed Potatoes, veg and roast And for those who live alone His Love dwells by their side With memories and heartfelt thanks They sit and dry their eyes And as the darkness deeper falls upon our weary days we watch the Children ever smile as sunshine fades away That Gentle power rests on us like warmth around our minds not needing else to help us sleep His Love upon us shines No can of beer or alcohol His Love triumphant calls Worldly wants they disappear When Love upon us falls
