A Morning Prayer — version 2

Catholic

A Morning Prayer (p)

A great silence in our quiet hours
Waits in God's Love, Awe and Power
With birds and nature we sojourn
Father keep us, in this new morn

The rain drops upon the gentle flowers
While deer upon a sighting cowers
Keep us Father shining bright
As from darkness, comes first light

As birds upon two branches bend
Blessings on us, all, you send
In lofty castles or houses small
In mining pits or marble halls

Send us higher in our thoughts
Where Truth and Light is always brought
Keep us in our waking hours
We trust in thee O Sacred Power

And when we cannot find our needs
come to us O Queen of Peace
keep us Mother by your Side
as in your Son we find our Light
